Ashleigh Wells - Sales & Marketing Director
Ash began his career in theatres at East Surrey Hospital working as an ODA and technician, here Ash learnt orthopaedics working alongside experienced nursing & clinical personnel. Ash left the NHS in 1998 and joined DePuy as an Account manager. His success in this role meant that he was quickly promoted, latterly taking the position of Sales Director for both the Trauma & Extremity and Reconstructive sales teams in the UK. Working alongside other orthopaedic healthcare professionals in the first part of his career gives Ash a unique perspective, allowing him to understand what his ex-colleagues want from a supplier whilst his tenure at DePuy has given him the knowledge & experience to deliver on these clients needs. Ash is married to Caroline and they are the proud parents of Lauren & Michael.
Mark Goddard - Sales & Marketing Director
Mark has worked in Medical sales for 15 years and has 10 years experience working with healthcare professionals in the orthopaedic environment, initially with Corin and for the past 8 years with DePuy. Mark has been exposed to both the Trauma & Extremity and Reconstructive orthopaedic businesses in the UK whilst his training & practice in sports injury management has exposed him to the needs of a healthcare professional. This experience and training has also given Mark an understanding of what industry can deliver to their customers & of what healthcare professionals require from their industry partners. Mark is married to Claire and they have a young son Tom.
Mike Van Der Meer - Sales Executive (South West)
Mike has over 10 years of experience working in Orthopaedic Sales. Mike initially joined Depuy J&J as a graduate trainee in 2001 and soon after graduated to running his own territory in the South West within the Trauma & Extremities Division. After 4 successful years Mike moved into the Hip & Knee Team where again he was quick to achieve sales success. Mike is a serial winner of the J&J Key Club award for best salesperson of the year and is one of very few people to have won this across 2 business divisions within Depuy. Since joining WG Mike has once again replicated his success.
Tom Moorcroft - Marketing Executive UK
Tom Moorcroft has worked in the orthopaedic industry since 2002. Having worked for sales and marketing teams for DePuy and Biomet, Tom brings extensive experience of Trauma, Extremities & Reconstructive orthopaedics to WG Healthcare. In addition to this Tom is a certified Clinical Educator, accredited through the Royal College of Surgeons. Tom's role as a Marketing Executive is focussed on our Foot and Ankle portfolio as well as managing key accounts in central London.
Richard Massimo - Clinical Support Specialist
Richard is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has worked extensively in the football industry for over 14 years and also within the NHS. Richard specialises in all musculoskeletal conditions, whiplash, back and sports injuries, massage and injury rehabilitation. He is a member of the Health Professional Council (HPC) and The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and has full professional indemnity insurance. Richard works as a self-employed Clinical Support Specialist and has developed a number of key accounts for WG since he began working with us and has now begun winning new accounts selling both WG & Lima product ranges.
Carole Mercer - Sales Executive Midlands
Carole joined WG with 6 years Orthopaedic sales experience gained with Depuy J&J working as a Clinical Support Specialist and Sales Executive within the Hip & Knee Division, working in the South East & latterly the Midlands. After taking some time out of Orthopaedic Sales to bring up her 2 boys Charlie & Oliver, Carole then took up a post as Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse in both Trauma and elective surgery at Northampton General Hospital.
In 2010 Carole was tempted back into Orthopaedic Sales by the opportunity of working with WG and has since developed a number of accounts in the Midlands area.
Paul Gibbons - Marketing Manager
Paul Gibbons began his medical career 15 years ago as a Bioengineer with Johnson & Johnson working in neurosurgery as well as orthopaedic product development. He then moved into the International marketing environment specialising in Trauma, Extremity and Knee products - developing and launching products, producing cutting edge literature and running professional education courses. His combination of technical bioengineering knowledge and broad marketing experience suits him to work in the rapidly changing area of the UK orthopaedic market.
Alisa Lakeman - Sales Executive
Alisa trained as a Registered Nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London, where she also qualified in operating theatre nursing. Having gained this specialist qualification, she joined the Army as a Nursing Officer in 1992. She Served 16 and a half years Commissioned Service, 12 of which as a Theatre Sister and deployed to Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq among many other places. Her specialist clinical interest is orthopaedics and she headed up the orthopaedic theatres at the Royal Hospital Haslar before being posted to 33 Field Hospital to lead the surgical department. She put her clinical career on hold in 2002 after having been Deputy Head of Clinical Services for the Military Hospital in Belfast; changing her direction to run the administration departments for various Regiments including the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. She was also involved with the Help for Heroes Building Project at Headley Court, the military rehabilitation centre for injured servicemen. After leaving the Army, Alisa spent a year in her local NHS Trust as an interim manager, using this time to reacquaint herself with today's NHS. She joined WG Healthcare in May 2011 and is relishing the challenge that her new sales role offers. Combining her love of orthopaedic theatres with her thirst for learning, she is committed to delivering the highest quality service to her customers and their patients.
Adrian Casson - Sales and Marketing Executive (North West)
Adrian Casson has been involved in hospital medical sales for over 20 years, the past 15 in orthopaedics. Nine of these years have been with DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company, in a variety of roles including Account Manager, Product Manager and Regional Manager in the divisions responsible for joint replacement (Hip/Knee) and Trauma & Extremities (Trauma, Foot & Shoulder).
Six years as a Business Development Manager with the UK company, Orthosolutions, complimented his multinational experience to broaden his overall understanding of the needs of the orthopaedic customer, whether surgeon, theatre Sister or procurement manager in both the NHS and independent sectors. Adrian is responsible for all WG and Lima accounts in the North West and has UK-wide marketing responsibilities for the hip range of products.
Toby Clifford - Clinical Support Specialist
Toby holds Degrees in Sports Science & Physiotherapy, the latter of these achieved in 1999. Toby then worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist, working for a number of Organisations which included the British Ski Team.
In 2010 Toby decided to make the move into Orthopaedics and began his Orthopaedic career with Depuy Spine as a Clinical Support Specialist. After gaining valuable experience with Depuy he joined WG in late 2011 and after re-locating to Wales he looks after some of WG's key Welsh accounts.
Magda Foulkes - Clinical Support Specialist
Magda holds an MSC in Medical Engineering gained at the University of Silesian in Poland. Magda relocated to the UK with the sole ambition to work in the Orthopaedic Industry. Her drive, enthusiasm & single minded approach led her gaining a role as a Clinical Support Specialist with Depuy J&J.
After 2 successful years her drive to push herself forward once again led her to joining WG. Magda now manages a number of key accounts in the North Thames Region.
Jonathan Garner - Sales Executive (North Central)
Jonny began his career in medical sales in pharmaceuticals with a view to working in the medical devices sector. He then made the move into Orthopaedics joining Conmed where he successfully worked a large territory in the North of the UK selling Capital equipment, consumables & implantables.
Jonny joined WG in the summer of 2011 and now looks after the WG & Lima Portfolio of products in the North Central Region.
Marissa Bell - Trainee Sales Executive
Marissa joined WG with no prior experience in the Orthopaedic industry but with a drive and enthusiasm that is sure to make her very successful in Orthopaedic sales and account management. Marissa has taken on a small territory in South Yorks/North Derbys and is already very well known and liked in her key accounts.
As her skills and knowledge improve Marissa will continue to please her customers and gain a glowing reputation as an Orthopaedic Sales Professional.
